The South Dakota Supreme Court swore in its newest member Monday at the Washington Pavilion in Sioux Falls.  Justice Mark Salter becomes the 51 justice in the State’s highest court history, dating back to its founding in 1889.  He completes the five justice panel.  Satler was appointed by Governor Dennis Daugaard last May after spending time as a circuit judge, Navy Reserve and Turner County Deputy State’s Attorney.
