A 67-year-old man died Friday morning in a one-vehicle crash on S.D. Highway 79, 25 miles northeast of Reva, S.D.
The name of the deceased is not being released pending notification of family.
A 1990 Peterbilt 379 semi-truck and flatbed trailer was northbound on Highway 79 when the passenger-side tires dropped off the east shoulder of the roadway. The driver corrected the semi onto the roadway, but the trailer stayed in the ditch, causing the tractor-trailer combination to roll.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene. He was wearing a seatbelt.
South Dakota’s Highway Patrol is investigating the crash.
