South Dakota Republican congressional candidate Dusty Johnson continues to move forward as the election moves closer.  Johnson is the favorite in the race according to the website fivethirtyeight.com, which has his chances at 59-60 to defeat Democrat Tim Bjorkman, Libertarian George Hendricks and Independent Ron Wieczorek.  Despite this favorable forecast, Johnson says he’s not taking anything for granted...

 

 

 

 

As the election moves closer, little is actually getting done in Washington.  Despite this, constituents are eager to talk to Johnson about an array of topics.  At the front of their minds includes tariffs and the trade war that shows no sign of wrapping up.  Johnson says he would not have gone about trade disputes in this manner, but now that the US is here it is important to stick it out.  However, Johnson says he was direct with the president when he visited South Dakota in early September...

 

 

 

 

 

Johnson talked about what he wants to accomplish if he is elected to congress.  It is up in the air if the Republicans will still hold control in the House after November.  Despite this, Johnson’s agenda will stay the same in the minority or majority and that includes the farm bill.  Johnson says he will be an advocate for all the plain states, specifically South Dakota...
