An Aberdeen man shot by police during an altercation two years ago has been declared to stand trial.  According to the Aberdeen American News 23-year-old Ehkhu Poe has pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity to drug and aggravated assault charges.  The charges stem from a 2016 incident where Poe threatened members of his family and police officers.  Aberdeen police officer Ty Reinke shot Poe in the chest and arm after he allegedly began to charge at him with a knife.  A four day trial on the matter will take place next March.
