According to numbers released by the South Dakota department of health, flu diagnosis are on the rise. More than 500 cases of flu have been reported in the past two weeks, bringing the total number of to 1,000 for this flu season. The flu is easy to spread this time of year as most people are confined indoors due to the bitter temperatures outside. The flu spreads through respiratory droplets meaning you should cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze and be sure to frequently wash your hands. You can still get a flu shot as the flu seasons is expected to last into March and possibly April.
