The NBA draft takes place tonight at 7:00 p.m. and will take place at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn New York.  The Phoenix Suns hold the first overall pick and are expected to select Arizona center Deandre Ayton. 

 

The Minnesota Timberwolves hold the 20th overall pick and have been mum on their plans.  The Wolves are in a “win now” mode and getting younger is not a top priority with most of their nucleus being under 30 years old.  That is why trading the pick for veteran talent could be a possibility.  Timberwolves general manager Scott Layden talked about the options at 20…

 

Whether or not Minnesota makes the pick at 20 or trades it away for something else, Layden says the plan is to aggressive all night…
