For the first time in program history, the Northern State University volleyball team has earned the top spot in the AVCA Top-25 Coaches Poll. The Wolves garnered 1168 total points and 41 first place votes, as one of just four undefeated teams listed.

NSU had previously been ranked No. 2 in the nation a week ago, and had reached that same standing during weeks seven and eight of the 2015 season. The Wolves have become a mainstay on the list spending the last 45 consecutive weeks ranked in the top-25 in the nation.

Northern is joined by NSIC opponents No. 2 Concordia-St. Paul, No. 9 Minnesota Duluth, No. 10 Southwest Minnesota State, and No. 18 Wayne State. Regional opponents No. 6 Nebraska Kearney, No. 13 Central Missouri, No. 16 Central Oklahoma, No. 21 Washburn, and (RV) Northwest Missouri State also found themselves on the list. NSU will face Minnesota Duluth this weekend on the road in their second top-25 match-up of the season.
