Bradyn Medrano, Grade: Elementary, Special Education, Summit School
Mr. Bradyn Medrano has been the Behavioral Specialist at the Summit School District for the past two years. Mr. Medrano spends most of his day guiding students on a one to one basis while educating and developing appropriate and positive behaviors with students enabling them to succeed within the classroom. Not only does Mr. Medrano educate students, but he also acts as a liaison for teachers to go to for coping strategies for students to utilize to be successful every day. Mr. Medrano’s job can be quite challenging physically and emotionally, but every day you will find him talking to students at breakfast and lunchtime asking students how their weekend was, or giving out high fives in the hallways. After school hours you will find Mr. Medrano coaching 5th and 6th grade boys’ and girls’ basketball, being a group leader at the afterschool program, driving bus routes, and coaching the Summer Athletic Enhancement Program this past summer. Mr. Medrano goes above and beyond his duty as an educator by sharing his talents with the students and fellow coworkers year round. The Summit School District is blessed to have him in so many aspects within our district.
