Aberdeen City Council passes new ordinance regarding fostering excess pets

The Aberdeen City Council at its regular Monday meeting passed the final approval of a new pet policy for fostering excess pets.

Currently Aberdeen residents are allowed four pets in a home, no more than three dogs.

Under this new policy, residents could foster an animal for a total of five pets no more than four dogs. Residents could foster these animals for a maximum of 90 days in a quarter, three quarters of the year. Aberdeen city attorney Ron Wager explained…

Wager called the policy an extension of the current one on the books…

Wager was asked by the council about why the animals must be born or lived most of their live within Brown County. Wager explained its to help negate the troubles with neighbors…
