Aberdeen Fire and Rescue responded to a structure fire Sunday. According to a release from Fire and Rescue, the call was made at approximately 2:18 p.m. At a three-story multi-unit residential apartment in the 400 block of South Jay Street. Upon arrival crews noticed light moderate smoke coming from a third story window. Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly. One apartment suffered extensive damage while a neighboring unit hid minor damage from water and smoke. Crews were on the scene for about three hours. No injuries were reported.
