Aberdeen Fire and Rescue was on the scene Sunday morning of a fire that was quickly extinguished. According to the department, crews were called around 7:20 a.m. Sunday morning for a single story unit on fire. Upon arrival firefighters found smoke coming from the home. Crews worked quickly and were able to halt the flame before they could spread further. The fire had been in the attic and the walls of the home. The home was unoccupied and no one was injured. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
