Aberdeen Fire and Rescue responds to structure fire Friday

The Aberdeen Fire Department responded to a structure fire Thursday. According to a release from fire and rescue, the incident occurred at about 3:40 p.m. At the Country Aire Estate residential division. Upon arrival a single stall unattached garage was fully engulfed in flames. The fire was quickly knocked down and hot spots were further extinguished. No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation. Aberdeen City, Aberdeen Rural and the Columbia Fire Department were dispatched to the scene, but Columbia’s call was canceled because the fire was under control.
