An Aberdeen man has received a mostly suspended prison sentence for his involvement in an ATV accident that resulted in an unintended death in 2019. 38-year-old Dustin Stieha pleaded guilty last November to vehicular homicide charges, which is a felony. The charges stem from when he was driving a 2014 Polaris side-by-side in September of 2019. The resulting accident killed 37-year-old Nichoals Fetting who was thrown from the ATV. The investigation into the accident found both men had been drinking heavily before the accident and that they were good friends. Stieha received 15 years in prison, all but 180 days suspended. He will be on supervised probation for 10 years following and have his license revoked for 10 years also. He must also take part in the 24-7 anti-drinking program.
