Aberdeen Police Department says it has located vehicle and suspect in hit-and-run case

The Aberdeen Police Department reports it has located a suspect in a hit and run incident involving a child earlier this week. Police sought the public’s help in identifying a suspect from an incident Monday around 5:45 p.m. At that time, two children were legally crossing the street on bicycles in the 700 block of North State Street. One of the children was struck by an oncoming pickup and knocked to the ground. The victim suffered only minor injuries and his bike was damaged. Police say the suspect and vehicle have been located, but so far no charges have been filed and no arrests have been made.
