Aberdeen Police respond to fake calls of active shooters at public schools

The Aberdeen Police Department posted to its Facebook page today, some South Dakota high schools have been receiving false active shooter calls. According to the post this is part of a trend beginning in other states and making its way to South Dakota. The police Department says it is working with Aberdeen schools to ensure the safety of students and staff and if a real call about an active shooter was reported law enforcement would respond appropriately.
