Aberdeen Police warn about potential scam making its way through town

The Aberdeen Police Department is warning residents about a potential scam in the area. According to a release from the police department, scammers are attempting to contact individuals identifying themselves as Aberdeen Police Chief Dave McNeil or a US Marshal. The Aberdeen Police Department says they will never call and ask for payments over the phone, ask for routing numbers, gift cards or other forms of payment.
