The Aberdeen Police Department is warning residents about a potential phone scam making its way through the area. According to a post on the police’s Facebook page, scammers are calling residents soliciting donations for police and other law enforcement. The police department says it does not call asking for random donations and cannot speak to the validity of the organization the scammers claim to represent. Police ask resident to use their best judgment when dealing with over-the-phone solicitation.
