Aberdeen Regional Airport receives $1.2 million grant

The Aberdeen Regional Airport has announced it has received a $1.2 million grant from the Aeronautics Commission of South Dakota. The money will be used to expand the baggage claim area according to Aberdeen Transportation Director Rich Krokel. The $1.2 million was part of a larger $10 million sum set aside in Senate Bill 144, to support airport terminal projects. The Aberdeen grant was one of eight distributed by the South Dakota Department of Transportation.
