Starbuck employees in Aberdeen rejected attempts to unionize their workplace. The vote was held July 13th. Unionization efforts failed via a vote of 2-10. Had the vote passed it would have been the first Starbucks location in South Dakota to successfully unionize. Organizers say they brought the unionization effort due to complaints by employees of poor working conditions, health concerns and customer health and safety.
