Avera Health has announced the hiring of a new leader in James Dover. James, or Jim as he is known, has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare, serving in leadership positions across a number of hospitals and healthcare systems. He replaces Bob Sutton who resigned earlier this summer due to a serious health issue. Dover will serve as the third president and CEO of Avera health. Dover will oversee a nationally recognized healthcare system that reports $3 billion in annual revenue and employs more than 20,000 people across 37 hospitals, and more in states including North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa and Nebraska.
