The Baltimore Ravens and quarterback Lamar Jackson have come to terms on a new five year contract extension. The former MVP agreed to a five-year $260 million contract with $185 million of that money guaranteed. The two sides have had a long negotiating period before this deal got done, including the team placing a non-exclusive franchise tag on Jackson in order for him to visit with other teams, find a deal and allow the Ravens to match any deal he would be offered by another team. Jackson is 26-years-old, was the league MVP in 2019 and is considered one of the best dual threat quarterbacks in the league.
