A bipartisan group of 14 Attorney’s General across the United States have signed onto a lawsuit against the popular social media app “TikTok” claiming it is designed to addict children and harms their mental health. The lawsuit cites TikTok’s endless scrolling feature and the slew of TikTok “Challenges” that encourage children to engage in what can be risky behavior at times. TikTok is currently in a legal battle with the federal government over a law passed earlier this year mandating the Chinese company that owns the app ByteDance divest from the app or it will be banned in the United States.
