South Dakota Game Fish and Parks reports another Day County lake has been infested with zebra mussels. Blue Dog Lake in Waubay is the latest to become infected. Blue Dog becomes the 10th lake in South Dakota to become infested in the last four years. Just a month ago, zebra mussels were confirmed to be in Enemy Swim lake in Day County as well. The South Dakota Lakes and Streams Association has accused the state of not doing enough to protect the spread of this invasive species. As of now there is no known way to ride a body of water of zebra mussels, but it is possible to slow the spread.
