A Box Elder man has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for beating a woman within the city last year. According to court documents 44-year-old Jamie Prince pleaded guilty but mentally ill to first-degree manslaughter in the death of 61-year-old Shirley Bartolotta. Bartolotta died in her home on August 31st 2022 when Prince stabbed and kicked her to death.
