The Brown County Commission at its regular meeting Tuesday approved a new bid to replace the roof of the Holum Expo Building. The bid is for $585,654 offered by North Central Steel Systems. North Central Steel systems has offices in both Aberdeen and Mobridge. Originally the Commission had appropriated $300,000 for a new roof and in the first rounds of bids, there was only one offer and that was for double the appropriated money. Fair officials say a new roof is needed to keep the Expo building operational for the future.
