The Brown County Commission at its regular Tuesday meeting decided it will take bids for the old Hub City Inc. building until June 13th. The county bought the building for $4.5 million in hopes to turn it into a regional jail. However, the state legislature did not appropriate money towards such efforts despite efforts from local lawmakers. Once the bid is selected the county will have 30 days to review the offer. Closing will be set 60 days after the bid is accepted.
