The Brown County Fair has officially changed its entertainment partner for at least the next three years. The Brown County Commission approved the contract with Winterset Concerts which will organize grandstand entertainment at the Brown County Fair. Winterset was one of three bidders earlier this summer to outbid Romeo Entertainment the longstanding organizer of grandstand entertainment for the Brown County Fair. Winterset Concerts is based out of Nashville and has a proposed fee of $20,000 for 2023 and 2024 and $25,000 for 2025. According to Brown County Fair manager Rachel Kippley the fair will be saving approximately $25,000 to $30,000 by going with Winterset, money that can be put towards entertainment.
