Brown county free residential cleanup to be August 25th through September 9th

The Brown County Commission has announced the annual fall residential cleanup will being Friday August 25th and run through September 9th. During this time the landfill will waive tipping fees for most waste and trash. The landfill will accept paint, trees, rubble, batteries, waste oil, furniture, anti-freeze, appliances, scrap metal, propane tanks, grass, leaves and other miscellaneous waste. There will be a limit of four car or pickup tires. The landfill is open from 8:00 a.m. To 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. All loads must be covered and secured.
