Brown County GOP Chairwoman Katie Washnok has resigned from her position with the party. Washnok ran for state senate looking to represent District three but lost a primary race to fellow Republican Carl Perry. The resignation was effective immediately. In the letter, Washnok says she has chaired the Brown County GOP for five years and during that time not a single Democrat has been elected to a partisan office. She goes on to say despite stepping down she plans on staying involved with the Brown County GOP.
