No one was injured when a building partially collapsed in Downtown Aberdeen over the weekend. According to Aberdeen Fire and Rescue, the building collapsed late Friday night, damaging some next door buildings as well. Firefighters also put out a fire which broke out in the back of the collapsed building. The cause of the collapse remains under investigation. The building is the old Van Slyke Building at 114 and 116 South Main Street, just south of A&B Business Solutions and the Ward Hotel.
