CATO institute gives governor Kristi Noem a “C” on taxation and spending

A Libertarian think tank has given Governor Kristi Noem a C on its Governor Report Card. According to a release from the Cato institute, the group rates governors on their tax and spending records. Governor Noem received a C while Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds received an A, North Dakota governor Doug Burgum received a C and Minnesota governor Tim Walz received an F. According to Cato’s mission statement, the groups goals Is to originate, disseminate and advance solutions based on principles of individual liberty, limited government, free marks and peace.
