The Center for Disease Control and Prevention announced new quarantine guidelines in regards to COVID-19. The organization has dropped the recommendation Americans quarantine themselves if they come into close contact with an infected person. The CDC also says people no longer need to stay at leat six feet away from one another. According to the CDC the changes come from the fact that after 2 and ½ years of being in this pandemic, an estimated 95 percent of Americans 16 years or older have acquired some level of immunity whether that be from vaccination or infection.
