Chicago Blackhawks win 2023 NHL lottery draft

The NHL draft lottery was held last night and the Chicago Blackhawks are the winners on the night getting the top overall pick in the 2023 NHL draft. The Anaheim Ducks, who had the best chance to win the lottery, will pick second. Rounding off the top five in order include Columbus, San Jose and Montreal. With the first pick the Blackhawks will almost certainly select Regina Pats center Connor Bedard. Bedard is considered a generational talent by many scouts and possible one of the best NHL prospects in decades.
