Pioneering Christian Broadcaster Pat Robertson passed away Thursday at the age of 93 years old. Known for turning a tiny Virginia station in to the global Christian Broadcasting Network, Robertson was a fixture on televisions across the planet with his “700 club” television show. He also founded Regent University and ran for President in 1988, finishing in second place in the Iowa caucuses, ahead of eventual nominee George H.W. Bush. He also had controversies throughout his broadcasting career including claiming natural disasters were god’s judgment on mankind from everything to teaching evolution in schools to homosexuality.
