City of Aberdeen asks residents to reframe from watering lawns from Tuesday to Thursday this week

The City of Aberdeen Public Works Department is asking for the public’s help in reducing water usage next week.  Repairs to the water transmission line in the intersection of 1^st Ave SE & S Dakota St are on-going, with installation of new water main taking place on Wednesday, June 21, 2023.  For this reason, Public Works is asking residents to stop all lawn watering and reduce water usage as much as possible from Tuesday, June 20 to Thursday, June 22.  This reduction in usage will help to keep water levels in the system from dropping too low, which can cause residents to experience low pressure.
