The Aberdeen City Council at its regular meeting Monday passed a new round of regulations when it comes to intentionally hindering snow removal. The council unanimously approved the measure on its second reading. Under the new ordinance, a person cannot prohibit, hinder or impede snow removal equipment clearing snow for the city. Parking is prohibited on a route or lot that is subject to snow removal and clarifying language regarding drivers operating vehicle on snow emergency routes or in public parking lots in a manner that vehicles become stalled stopped or stuck.
