A woman working with a construction crew in Beadle County has been killed in a traffic accident. According to the South Dakota Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred Tuesday just before 1:00 p.m. On Highway 14 two miles east of Wessington. A 44-year-old woman flagging traffic was on scene directing traffic westbound. A 2023 Semi truck struck a Dodge Ram which was stopped per the flaggers direction. The semi pushed the dodge into the worker who suffered fatal injuries. The two drivers sustained minor damages in the incident. The names of those involved have not yet bee released. Officials urge motorists to remain alert when approaching construction zones and to do so with caution at proper speeds.
