A Deadwood man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison following being convicted of attempted enticement of a minor using the internet. 62-year-old Donald William Laun was arrested in an undercover sex trafficking operation during the 2022 Sturgis motorcycle rally. According to the US Department of Justice, Laun engaged in sexually explicit text messages with a person he believed to be a 14-year-old girl who was in fact an undercover agent.
