District 1 State Senator Michael Rohl has come out in support of Amendment H which will be on the ballot this coming November. Amendment H is the open primaries amendment which would do away with the party primary system. It would put all Democrats, Republicans, Independents and others on the same primary ballot and allow all voters to participate with the top two candidates heading to the general election. In a statement about Rohl’s decision to support Amendment H, he says all voters pay for the primary election through tax dollars and therefore all voters should be allowed to participate.
