Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis makes it official, he is running for president

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis made the announcement official Wednesday he will seek the Republican nomination for President in 2024. DeSantis made the announcement on Twitter, with Twitter owner Elon Musk. The launch was riddled technical difficulties, but in the end DeSantis joined a race that already includes seven declared candidates with others still considering running. DeSantis is widely considered the second most popular choice in the race behind current front runner former president Donald Trump.
