Former AG Jason Ravnsborg creates PAC

Former South Dakota Attorney General Jason Ravnsborg is not done with politics despite being impeached and removed from office. The former AG cannot seek political office, but he can donate money and has created a Political Action Committee or PAC to do so. According to the Secretary of State’s campaign finance website, Ravnsborg has recently formed the $99 for Freedom PAC. The name presumably comes from South Dakota Law, that donations up to $100 do not need to be made public. Ravnsborg was removed from office in June of 2022 after being involved in a deadly accident that left Joe Boever of Highmore dead.
