American astronaut James A. McDivitt has passed away last Thursday at the age of 93. McDivitt is most famous for commanding the Apollo 9 million, testing the first complete set of equipment to go to the moon. McDivitt made the flight in 1965 and during that mission helped take part in the first U.S. Spacewalk, his photos becoming iconic images of the mission.
