Former Pierre daycare provider pleads not guilty to child abuse charges

A former Pierre daycare provider has pleaded not guilty to child abuse charges. 41-year-old Brandi Jo Barringer entered her plead Tuesday regarding charges related to her then in-home daycare between January of 2020 and May of 2022. Barringer’s daycare has since closed once these allegations came to light. Court documents allege Barringer contributed to the delinquency of a child by not providing the necessary care for the child’s well-being. Her next court appearance is scheduled for November 15^th.
