Former SDSU standout Macy Miller returns to Brookings as an assistant coach

Former South Dakota State standout and one time Miss. Basketball South Dakota Macy Miller is returning to Brookings as an assistant coach. The school announced Friday associate head coach Carissa Thielbar is stepping away from coaching to spend more time with family and the school has hired Miller as an assistant coach. After graduating from SDSU Miller took an assistant coaching job with NAIA Northwestern in Orange City Iowa. She played one professional season in Spain after being drafted in the third round of the WNBA draft but ultimately failing to make a team.
