Former Sioux Falls police officer pleads guilty to child pornography charges

A former Sioux Falls police officer has pleaded guilty to two child pornography charges. According to Lincoln county officials, 24-year-old Matthew Jock agreed to plead guilty to two counts of child pornography and distribution charges and in exchange three others would be dropped. The charges stem from January of 2022 when according to court documents, investigators received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that led to Jock and his residence in Sioux Falls. Jock has since admitted to authorities he used the KIK messenger app to look at sexual videos involving children and sharing them with others.
