Former Twins pitcher Sonny Gray agrees to deal with St. Louis

Former Minnesota Twins starting pitcher Sonny Gray has come to terms with the St. Louis Cardinals. The deal is reportedly for three years worth $75 million. Gray is 34-years-old and finished as the AL Cy Young award winner runner up this offseason. Because Gray turned down Minnesota’s qualifying offer and this new deal exceeds $50 million, the Twins will receive a compensatory 2024 draft pick between the first round and competitive balance round A.
