Former University of South Dakota stand out pole vaulter Chris Nilsen has qualified to represent the United States at the upcoming 2024 Olympic Summer games in Pairs France. Nilsen is 26 years old from Kansas City Missouri and has qualified for his second Olympic Games this year. He is the reigning Olympic men’s pole vault silver medalist, winning silver at the 2020 Summer Games in Tokyo. He qualified for Paris by finishing 2nd at the United States Olympic Trials in Eugene Oregon Saturday.
