Former Vikings assistant coach Adam Zimmer’s death caused by chronic alcohol use

Former Minnesota Vikings assistant coach and at the time Cincinnati Bengals analyst Adam Zimmer died due to chronic alcohol use. The 38-year-old’s cause of death was released by the Hennepin County Medical Examiner’s office Friday. Zimmer was found dead at his home in Minnesota in October. He is the son of former Minnesota Vikings head coach Mike Zimmer and spent eight seasons working for the Vikings on his father’s staff.
