Former Minnesota Vikings quarterback Tommy Kramer announced via his social media Wednesday he has been diagnosed with dementia. In the post to his X account, Kramer says Brett Favre’s recent announcement he has been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease inspiring Kramer to come forward with his own diagnosis. In the post Kramer says doctors have given him two to 10 years to live. Kramer played 13 NFL seasons, 12 of those with the Vikings. During his career he was named NFL comeback player of the year in 1986, to the pro bowl in 1986, and one of the 50 greatest Vikings by the team. Kramer went onto say in the post, he regrets nothing about his NFL career and wants to bring awareness to other players battling similar illnesses.
