Four NFL players suspended by the league for gambling

The NFL has suspended four players for gambling violations. Indianapolis Colts players Isaiah Rodgers and Rashod Berry, along with free agent Demetrius Taylor were suspended indefinitely through at least the 2023 season, for betting on NFL games last season. Tennessee Titan’s offensive tackle Nicholas Petit-Frere was suspended six games for betting on other sports. The NFL made the announcement Thursday. In a subsequent move, the Colts waived Rodger and Berry as a consequence of their suspension. According to ESPN, eleven players, at least one assistant coach and an undisclosed number of league personnel have been suspended for violating the league’s gambling policy since 2018.
